Energy healing: a personal experience

My experience of energy healing (formerly known as spiritual healing)

By Julie

I was first introduced to the Centre in 2002 when I was diagnosed with breast cancer and a friend suggested I try energy healing (formerly known as spiritual healing).  I had never received any kind of healing or complementary therapy before, but at the time was willing to try anything.  From my first visit I was made to feel very welcome and was touched by everyone’s kindness and genuine concern for my wellbeing.  I found the healing so beneficial that I ensured I went to the Centre on a weekly basis and sometimes more, as I also visited for Reiki healing.

I found both types of healing extremely relaxing and it helped re-energise me.  I also found it especially helpful when I was having chemotherapy as it balanced my energies and greatly reduced the sickness feelings I experienced.  Also, part of the healing was being able to just talk about my feelings and concerns and I found that it was easier to discuss these things with someone outside the family as I didn’t want to worry my family any more than they were already!

Apart from the actual healing experience, being at the Centre, surrounded by spiritual, positive people, allowed me to feel more positive about my situation and opened me up to a new thought process.  This led me to embark on the spiritual development and Reiki courses offered by the Centre and all this has certainly changed my life for the better.

Six years later, I still regularly have healing and I regard the Centre as a “sanctuary”, somewhere I can go and just be me and allow myself space and time from my busy life to relax and de-stress.  However tired or down I feel when I go in, I always come out feeling uplifted.

I would recommend the Centre and Healers to everyone, so that they can experience the kindness and love that has been shown to me over the years.
